21 DAYS LEFT: More Packing; Our Last Week In Our Home...

This weekend we really kicked packing into gear! I must sound like a broken record, but we keep re-re-packing bins as we think of better ways to accomplish our goals to ship items safely, and as compactly as possible, to reduce our expenses.

Nathan spent all day Saturday in the garage; my big ask was to clean all of the garden tools. We can't bring any dirt into Belize (this goes for all countries - to avoid tracking in foreign pests or diseases), so everything had to be cleaned. He left them in the sun to bake to remove any residual moisture. He then consolidated the bins we were taking in the garage.

Zach came over in the afternoon - maybe to see us, definitely to play the pinball machine now that it's been tuned up! I picked up gyros for dinner and we watched 4 episodes of the second season of "The Mole" relaunch. SUCH a good show, it's on Netflix if you are interested.

Today (DAY 21), we filtered through more belongings, and I sold off my golf clubs (the same day I posted them!). Then we met Ethan and Lilly at their condo to perform a pre-closing walk-through. Everything looks as expected, so once the title company has closing docs, they'll be able to sign!

Tomorrow starts our last week in our home, which is bittersweet. 95% of the decisions were made on finishes when we bought it, so it's not like we personalized it while it was built, but we both truly enjoy being here, and have only lived in it for 2.5 years. Previous moves were always "move ups", whereas this time, we are "moving down" in size by about half, and character by a LOT. I still have our King Bedroom Set to sell, we haven't had a lot of interest in it, and our 4 bar stools, which have had a lot of interest but I wasn't willing to discount them until this coming week. We're already in camping chairs in the living room, the counter stools are our last comfortable seating surfaces left, so I was holding out on those. Time to get a little more flexible..!
